“Hear Me Now”
The Black Potters of Old Edgefield, South Carolina
Jim McDowell is included in the accompanying documentary and book as a link between the work of enslaved 19th C. African potters in America and the face jugs he makes today. Once the exhibit closes in New York, it will tour in Boston and internationally.
